Hershey 9v9

Until you are informed otherwise, the rules for the Hershey 9v9 are the same as last year i.e all Outdoor Rules except:

1. Games will consist of a single Forty-five (45) minutes straight time game duration.
2. There will be no extra time or penalty kicks to determine a winner in the event of a tie, except in the event of a play-off game.
3. Teams shall be given five (5) minutes of grace time from the scheduled kick-off time to field the minimum required number of players five (5).
4. In the event that one team does not field the minimum required number of players to start a game, it will be considered to have defaulted the game and shall forfeit the points and will subject to disciplinary action. The opposing team will be awarded the win and a score of 3-0 will be recorded.
5. All of Soccer shall apply, save and except as follows: (i) The field of play will be half of the full sized indoor field consisting of a width of 49 metres and a length of 57 metres
6. The goals shall be regulation outdoor nets consisting of 7.32 meters (8 yards) wide by 8 feet high.
7. When the ball crosses the touch line, then the restart shall be a throw-in.
8. The maximum number of players shall be nine (9) and the minimum number of players shall be five (5).
9. The penalty area will be proportional to the size of the field/ goals.
10. Direct and Indirect Free Kicks will be awarded.
11. Slide tackles will be allowed.
12. There will be no Offside
13. Changes can be made on the fly with the exception of the Goalkeeper. The Referee must be informed if a Goalkeeper needs to be substituted.
14. Please be advised that effective January 23/10, "2 and 5 minute Penalties" can be imposed in the 9 v 9 league play.  If you issue a Caution or a Dismissal, the team shall be sanctioned with the appropriate TIME Penalty and play short handed (OSA indoor laws of the game).
